The Serpentine - Jarrahdale region is home to some spectacular walks. You have the option to take the walks yourselves or take one of the many guided walks that the Jarrahdale Heritage Centre has on offer each month. Either way you will be treated to the regions beauty and splendor. Below you will find brief descriptions of the many walks in the area. Where possible, printable maps and photos will accompany the information provided, if not they won't be far away! Print out the main Jarrahdale Walks Map (Left) and then reference the individual walk maps to this map.

Make sure to visit the "Old Post Office" as it has heaps of local tourist information, local crafts, historic photos, guided walk info and you can even get a firewood license there too!

With all walks, care must be taken to protect the environment. Dogs are to be kept on leashes, take a small bag for rubbish and stay on the marked paths. This will ensure the beauty that is Serpentine - Jarrahdale will be always enjoyed by all.

Our Walks
Kitty's Gorge - Duration 1.5 to 2.5hrs - Grade: Easy to Medium
4 single file walk trails starting from Gooralong Park ranging in length from 1 to 11km. These walks by pass waterfalls eventually leading to Serpentine Falls.
Stacey's Track - Duration 1 to 1.5hrs - Grade: Medium
1.7km circular track through virgin forest. This track has boardwalks and bridges over Gooralong Brook.
Mundlimup Trail - Duration 1 to 1.5hrs - Grade: Easy
2 and 3km loops through shady forest with attractions such as the historic railway, log landing, reconstructed saw pit, and picnic area along the way.
Blue Rock Walks - Duration 1 to 1.5hrs - Grade: Easy
1.5 and 3km Walk trails over Blue Rock and through forests recovering from bauxite mining and timber milling. This track also has a medium grade rock clamber, care should be taken at all times.
Wetlands Circuit - Duration 1 to 1.5hrs - Grade: Easy
1.5km walk with boardwalk for wheelchair and pram access. This walk is very easy and has the additional attraction of several "hides" along the way so you can watch the abundant bird life in secrecy.
Heritage Railway Hike - Duration 1 to 1.5hrs - Grade: Easy
4 and 7km circular tracks with some great views. There is one steep section but this is still graded as easy.
Prisoner of War Camp Hike - Duration 2 to 2.5hrs - Grade: Easy
This walk is located 11km from Jarrahdale. Along this walk you will see the camp ruins and be able to walk along the historic railway for as long as you like.
